History of K-25
Proposal Article - Cindy Kelly
The above artist rendering of the basement wall of the four-story buildings that made up the legs of the "U-shape" demonstrates how murals could be used to enhance the Manhattan Project, Cold War and Nuclear Power History of the K-25 Gaseous Diffusion Plant. The rendering also shows the wall of the K-25 North End Building which will house the gaseous diffusion equipment for the visitor to see, the visitor center that will include information about the major Oak Ridge tourism destinations and gift shop of the Heritage Tourism destination planned here.
